As you know, one of the four parts that made up the United Kingdom is Scotland. It lies to the north of England and occupies a rather large territory. It is the land of old customs and traditions, high mountains and untouched natural paradise. The largest city of the country is Glasgow while the capital of Scotland is ancient and wonderful Edinburgh. Scotland is also famous for its large lakes, old castles, ghosts and mysteries. The highest mountain of the country is Ben Nevis. The most attractive and mysterious lake is famous Loch Ness where people believe a huge monster lives. Thistle is the emblem of Scotland and the national game which originated there is golf.
